Seervision and Vinten Partner to Bring AI-Powered Tracking and Reframing to New VEGA Control System
12 April 2023 – Zurich, Switzerland
Seervision, a leading provider of AI-powered camera automation technology, and Vinten, a global leader in broadcast camera support systems and a Videndum brand, announce partnership to introduce automatic presenter tracking and framing to VEGA, Vinten’s new control system for broadcast studios.
Vinten will present the new VEGA Control System at the NAB Show 2023 in Las Vegas. The demonstration will include VEGA Presenter Tracking which leverages Seervision’s state-of-the-art auto-tracking technology to automatically frame and track on-air talent with exceptionally natural movement. Using robust talent identification, it automatically frames each individual as required, eliminating the need for manual adjustments, and maximizing resource efficiency.
“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Vinten and the integration of Seervision’s AI-powered tracking technology into the VEGA Control System. We believe that this partnership marks a significant milestone in the broadcast industry’s evolution toward intelligent automation, bringing immense value to customers.” – Nikos Kariotoglou, CEO of Seervision.
Seervision’s tracking technology is completely integrated into VEGA and controlled through the VEGA client interface to offer a true studio workflow with tracking added. This ensures users remain familiar with all operations and can implement shot selection, sequencing, and other common functions without having to re-train. The solution is also compatible with 3rd party integration options to allow playout automation of control, and the use of PTZs.
“We are delighted to partner with Seervision to bring this next-generation technology to our customers,” said Nicola Dal Toso Divisional CEO – Videndum Production Solutions. “By combining Seervision’s cutting-edge AI-driven reframing capability with Vinten’s legendary on-air motion quality, we have created a unique solution that automatically captures talent in the most captivating and natural way possible.”
The new VEGA Control System will be shipping from summer 2023.
Vinten and Seervision will showcase VEGA at NAB Show, booth C5817.
