PANASONIC APPOINTS SHUSUKE AOKI TO LEAD PANASONIC CONNECT EUROPE

The former Chief Transformation Officer is ideally placed to lead Panasonic Connect Europe and help its customers navigate challenging socio-economic times using technology innovation

Panasonic has appointed Shusuke Aoki as CEO and MD of Panasonic Connect Europe (PCOEU), based in Wiesbaden, Germany. The former Chief Transformation officer, who has lived and worked in Europe for the past 14 years, will lead the organisation in assisting its European business customers to navigate the current socio-economic challenges through the deployment of the latest technology innovations. Bringing a breadth of B2B and B2G experience, Mr Aoki has led successful teams in turn-key solutions sales, system engineering, marketing and transformation in Japan, the United States and Europe before accepting this role. He succeeds Hiroyuki Nishiuma, who successfully navigated the business through the pandemic.

Mr Aoki commented: “European businesses are facing a series of difficult challenges, including energy and price pressures and supply chain disruption against a backdrop of geo-political uncertainty. Panasonic Connect Europe will help organisations to navigate these challenges through the deployment of transformational technology solutions.”

The business-to-business and public sector focused organisation helps its customers with a range of innovative products and integrated systems and services. In Manufacturing, it is helping to automate factories from component receipt, through production to distribution. In the supply chain, it is combining groundbreaking AI solutions from its subsidiary BlueYonder with edge network technologies, such as sensors and robotics, to reinvent the way its customers deliver. Its rugged Toughbook tablets, notebooks and wrap-around solutions are transforming the productivity of mobile workforces. Lastly, in the Entertainment, Education and Corporate sectors, its AV, collaboration and broadcast technologies are helping to reinvent the way these sectors operate.

Mr Aoki brings extensive industry understanding and strong leadership credentials as he steps into the CEO role. His experience working across three continents alongside business and public sector customers has provided a unique perspective of the global business landscape, geopolitics and how disruptive technologies can be used to transform organisations and society for the better.
