CJP Broadcast Selected to Provide Multi-Camera Coverage of UK Round of European Blind Football League
CJP Broadcast Services, a leading provider of live sports production, has been selected to provide multi-camera coverage of the UK round of the European Blind Football League (EBFL), held at the Royal National College for the Blind’s leisure facility, thePoint4, on April 8th, 2023.
As part of the coverage, CJP Broadcast Services will produce a full day of live European Blind Football within a 6 game fixture list starting at 9.30. The coverage will feature pitch-side interviews and commentary by BBC Sports Radio presenters, providing viewers with insights into the game and the experiences of the players. In addition, CJP Broadcast Services will produce a series of short films that will be aired between the games, introducing viewers to the origins and rules of blind football, as well as interviews with the England coach and players explaining how the sport has impacted their lives.
CJP Broadcast Services has played a key role in organizing the event’s sponsorship to support the Royal National College for the Blind’s continual development of blind sports. Cube International has been secured as the day’s main sponsor.
“We are thrilled to have been chosen as the production partner for the UK round of the European Blind Football League,” said Chris Phillips, Founder and Managing Director of CJP Broadcast Services. “Our live production services are ready to support this event, which we anticipate will showcase Blind Football worldwide. We extend our gratitude to Cube International, JVC Kenwood, GB Labs, and Mo-Sys Engineering for sponsoring the event.
“We are also honored to support the Royal National College for the Blind’s ongoing development of blind sports” Phillips continued, “and I was personally inspired by their positivity and determination during my recent visit. Blind Football provides students with more than just a sport to play, as it builds experience, self-confidence, and develops their sporting talents together. These athletes have an enormous amount of skill and bravery, along with trust in their teammates, and our goal is to showcase this through our live production to raise awareness of the positive impact this sport has on the players’ lives. We hope to use the power of video to open up the sport and encourage more participation and engagement. Blind Football is an entertaining sport to watch with remarkable talent, and we believe it will amaze anyone who watches it.”
The Royal National College for the Blind offers a wide range of academic courses dedicated to the blind and partially sighted and is home to the only specialist Sports Academy for blind and visually impaired young people in Europe. All sponsorship and advertising revenue will go directly to the College for the ongoing development of blind sport.
“We are thrilled to be working with CJP Broadcast Services, whose expertise and passion for supporting blind sport will help us to showcase the College facilities and raise awareness of the benefits and importance of blind football ” said Angela Cheasley, Communications Manager at Royal National College for the Blind. “We are looking forward to a day of exciting football and sharing the passion of the players with a global audience.”
