Chyron Announces Key Themes for NAB 2025

MELVILLE, N.Y. — February 27, 2025 – Chyron will welcome visitors to NAB 2025 on booth SL 1511 with its full range of products and latest developments on display. Key themes for 2025 and beyond include reducing total cost of ownership for our customers, converged technology, and -true to Chyron’s roots – innovation in live production, visual storytelling and data visualization.
“TCO, or total cost of ownership, is important. In 2025, we are hearing, more often than ever, that tech must pay its own way,” shares Chyron CEO Mike Truex. “We are listening. We need to satisfy not only the demands of designers, operators and engineers, but also those of the C-suite. We are keenly aware of how workflow efficiencies, scalability, channel density, monetization potential, and fan engagement all may impact the bottom line. The business considerations of our customers are a key driver of our product roadmaps.”
“While we maintain a strong portfolio of products, we also focus heavily on converged technologies ” states Nikole McStanley, Chyron head of product. “Increasingly, customers can leverage the advantages of Chyron products within seamless end-to-end solutions. For example, building a news rundown that can drive graphics, video walls, virtual sets and even weather segments, all from a single application, offers unparalleled efficiencies across the newsroom and the control room. Or, as another example, being able to access data from a centralized data vault for use in any of a number of applications avoids duplication of resources.”
“Our roots are in innovation, starting with the pioneering of digital broadcast graphics, and expanding to a host of live production visual storytelling tools.. Innovation may be found throughout our portfolio, including exciting new functionalities across our design tools, operator efficiencies, data integration, analysis applications, virtual sets and more,” adds Carol Bettencourt, Chyron vice president of marketing. “When visitors come to the Chyron booth, it is always fun to see them have those ‘Wow!’ moments.”
News: Integrated Visual Storytelling
Chyron’s CAMIO, deployable on premises or in the cloud, sits at the heart of the broadcast news workflow, offering powerful and comprehensive integration of visual storytelling elements with all major newsroom computer systems and with leading non-linear editors. Chyron is announcing exciting new features and enhancements to CAMIO during NAB.
CAMIO integrates with these NRCS: AP ENPS, Avid iNEWS, Media Central, Dalet Galaxy, Octopus, Ross Video Inception, CGI Open Media, and Dina; and with these NLE: Adobe Premiere, Avid Media Composer, and Grass Valley EDIUS. Visitors to the show can see examples and discuss how CAMIO fits in their current technology ecosystem.
CAMIO offers producers and journalists sophisticated and flexible graphical templates created and rendered for playout via Chyron PRIME for live-to-air or to stream graphics as well as video walls. These graphical templates may be enhanced with assets from AXIS, including maps from AXIS’ newly updated Maps module, as well as charts and composite images. This flexible visual asset order creation and management tool, significantly improves the efficiency of news production by enabling journalists and news producers to create images, maps and charts themselves, in minutes, or to order these assets from other colleagues and is now available on AWS Cloud. CAMIO also enables cues in the NRCS rundown to drive PRIME Clips, VSAR (virtual sets) and even Chyron WEATHER.
Chyron VSAR will have new features, revealed for the first time at NAB 2025. Additionally, VSAR will be exhibiting the power of Chyron’s commitment to converged technologies. The VSAR demo presentation includes Chyron Weather playlist data mapped to virtual objects and triggering events in VSAR, PRIME graphics appearing on virtual screens in VSAR virtual sets, the use of PRIME Touchscreen to allow presenters to move virtual objects, and more.
In addition to its integration with VSAR, Chyron WEATHER demonstrations will show new features for the first time, including a warning data feed and template set, a weather AI tool prototype and a template creator prototype for use directly within CAMIO’s LUCI interface within the NRCS.
Sports: Inspiring Fans, Driving Efficiency
Chyron’s flagship graphics platform, PRIME, continues to offer cutting-edge innovation driven by the demands of top tier sports broadcasters. Notably, PRIME served as the graphics technology provider for NBC Sports and Olympics as well as Telemundo for their coverage of the summer games. Adding to the growing roster of PRIME implementations globally, PRIME has been selected as the official graphics provider for the International Luge Federation (the IOC sanctioned governing body for the sport of luge) as well as for Victory+, a brand new live and on demand sports network, and others. Visitors to the Chyron booth at NAB 2025 will be able to see examples of how these high profile broadcasters use PRIME to the fullest. New features of PRIME 5.1 will be seen as well, including additional designer capabilities in the scene tree, the timeline and with parameters, as well as expanded message saving and SRT inputs and outputs.
For sports broadcasts as well as in-venue displays, giving fans the whole story includes illustrated replay with Chyron PAINT and lines or markers on the field, pitch or court with Chyron VP (virtual placement). VP is also utilized for virtual placement of sponsor logos or adverts.
PAINT will be shown in version 10.0 for the first time at this year’s NAB show. This is a major new release and key features include a new user interface that promises ease of use, integration with Chyron Vault for accessible data, updates to the playlist feature for greater efficiency, sweep calibration for faster preparation for soccer matches, and an updated effects toolset for more robust replay illustration.
VP will debut version 8.0 at the show. In alignment with Chyron’s converged technologies approach, VP version 8.0 integrates with PRIME 5.0 and above to attach PRIME graphics anywhere in the live video. Sport-specific enhancements include NBA line calibration and NFL tracking stabilization.
Rounding out its offerings for sports, Chyron will be showing PRIME Click Effects, designed for total venue control, The latest advances include new data delivery and customization functionality.

Featured in this area will also be Chyron Panels, showing the latest advancements in purpose-built operator controls or master control. Additionally, visitors can learn more about how one of our newest offerings, Chyron Vault, offers comprehensive management of data for visual storytelling across multiple systems within an organization.
Chyron’s pioneering ZXY Tracking system will also be on display. This innovative, device based tracking system, useful for multiple sports, includes lightweight wearable transponder tags, base stations that receive GNSS data from the tags, and a cloud gateway server that processes and outputs live, real-time data for broadcasting and betting. Easily deployable, ZXY Tracking delivers key metrics including timestamps across distances, global coordinates (latitude, longitude, and altitude), local coordinates (X, Y, and Z), and speed.
