Case Design the World leaders in Premium Quality Broadcast Flight cases
Case Design the World leaders in Premium Quality Broadcast Flight cases.
As the name suggests Case Design, design and manufacture specialised Cases, often referred to as Flight Cases, and Enclosures. Typically their clients have high value equipment and accessories which they want to protect during storage, transit and operation.
They design custom solutions to maximise protection from the elements, shock and vibration whilst keeping weight and size to a minimum.
Mark Harley of Case Design told GBIN
“Our products are produced in a variety of materials for many different markets. No job is too difficult – our designers just love a challenge so if you’ve got something tricky test them out. Operating from purpose designed premises in High Wycombe just outside London we service clients around the world, with exports representing some 30% of our business! We’ve been established since 1990, originally pioneering the development of aluminium flight cases for the outside broadcast industry. Since then we’ve extended the product range to include Astroboard, Wood and Peli cases. Case Design is owned by the management and operates to a simple ethos; we aim to create high quality products at competitive prices, whilst offering an outstanding level of service. Our people are what really makes the difference, they are tremendously experienced and exceptionally loyal – many of them having spent over 20 years with us.”

Case Designs policy is to offer high quality products to meet a broad range of market needs. They manufacture their own products and partner with market leading organisations. Wherever possible they use components that are readily available and can be sourced in the UK.
Over the years they have come up with designs for some key components which are unique to Case Design – examples include, rigidised aluminium panels and aluminium extrusions which are produced to their own specification. Case design designed the corners of their cases so they can be readily identified and securely stacked. It’s this attention to detail that sets them apart from the competition.

Case Design offers a CAD design service using Auto CAD technology. They create conceptual drawings and indicative costings. Once the conceptual design is complete they go on to create a working prototype and firm up costs. Once the prototype has been finalized they can then move into production.
The internals of their cases are constructed from high quality foam. Using a variety of foam types to provide the necessary level of protection, including Plastazote and Etha Foam. The foam is shaped using Case Designs high speed CNC router.
Mark Harley told us “Our aluminium cases and enclosures are widely recognised as being the best available – as one of our customers put it – ‘the Rolls Royce of Case’s’ built to order by our experienced craftsmen. They have tremendous strength and durability, as evidenced by our very active refurbishment business; we’ve refurbished Cases over 20 years old!”
Case Design CNC a wide range of materials including Wood Plastic Foam and Aluminium. They offer a full Design service, fast turnaround times and highly competitive pricing.
